The purpose of the life for the Baha'is is to recognize and love God, to mature spiritually, and to carry forward an ever-advancing civilization.

The moral, mental and spiritual qualities that individual will develop throughout the
life, will be required for his or her  soul to progress.

The prayer, the obligatory prayer and the meditation which are performed everyday, save the individual's soul from the usual ways of life, by teaching the purpose of his or her existence.

Individual Baha'i strives to show examples of  the sacred teachings and qualities in his or her behaviours, relations,  dressing and entertainment, and  in utilizing his or her talents.

In the Baha'i Writings, a great emphasis is placed on family life which is the foundation of human society.  Holiness of marriage, equality between mates, and importance of consultation in family life are frequently emphasized.

Baha'u'llah has strictly forbidden the Baha'is to meddle with political affairs and ordered them to obey the laws of the country they live in.
